Braybrooke Morris Dancers!

As part of the varied entertainment for Rowell Fair Week, today, we welcomed back Braybrooke Morris Dancers to the Town. They’ve become a staple of Rowell Fair Week in recent years and it was good to see them again.

Against the backdrop of our iconic Market House, at 1pm (an hour before the Fair opened for the final time this year) they began their performance. Comprising of seven dancers and three band members, they had prepared a number of songs for our entertainment.

They braved the weather (that had alternated between rain and sun all day) with the audience helping by clapping along.

One of the Dancers – Rosie – had composed an awarding winning piece known as the ‘Broom Song’ – a title that described her solo performance perfectly!

It was a varied programme, and the appreciative crowd grew as the performance continued. Even the rain had taken a break!

Within a short while (the slightly reluctant) audience were part of the act – and eventually, the Police too! (for all the right reasons!) 😀

All-in-all, a great day for all concerned and the hour passed in a flash! Thanks, Braybrooke Morris Dancers – you brought out the Sun today as well as an appreciative audience!
